BOOKSONAPP LUCKY DRAW – MARCH & APRIL 2025
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 
1. Why a Lucky Draw?
The purpose of the lucky draw is to encourage people in South Africa to register for free on BooksOnApp.
 
2. What prizes can be won?
A set of three books by Rebecca Yarros namely:
 
Book 1 of the series – Fourth Wing
Book 2 of the series – Iron Flame
Book 3 of the series – Onyx Storm
 
These are new, valued at about R1000 for the set of 3
 
3. How many prizes are there in total?
There is one prize which consists of the set of three books.
 
4. Who can win the prize?
People who are currently residents of South Africa and who have downloaded and registered on BooksOnApp and followed the instructions below.
 
5. How do I enter the draw?
Entry is confirmed once the user has downloaded the app and registered for free. The user must then search for the book set via the search function. The User then clicks on the image of the book set which then opens up more information about the books. The User must then push the “contact seller” button that must be used to submit their name and email to confirm entry into the lucky draw.
 
6. How will people learn about the lucky draws?
Information about the lucky draw will be communicated through to the public through social media and other media platforms as well as our website. We will also place posters and pamphlets in strategic places. We will also post an advertising banner on the App itself.
 
7. When will the draws take place?
The lucky draw will close on the 30th April 2025 and the draw will be held on the 1st May 2025 to identify the winner who will be notified on the 1st May 2025.
 
8. How will the selection process work?
The lucky draws will be run in the following way:
The BooksOnApp team will record all entrants on a spreadsheet with a unique number allocated for each entrant. BooksOnApp will appoint an individual with access to the relevant data to do a randomized selection of one individual that has entered. 
 
9. How are winners selected?
The lucky draw for the prize will take the form of a selected number from a “bag” that is pulled randomly. 
This number will be matched against our list in numerical order of all entrants. This will be captured on video and posted on our Social Media Platforms.
 
10. How will I find out if I am a winner?
Winners will be notified by whatsapp or email no later than 1st May 2025. They will be contacted on the phone number and email provided.
Winners will be invited to confirm on the call that they would like to receive the prize, by saying YES and what method of shipping they would prefer.
 
11. How will I receive the prize if I am a winner?
Winners will be offered the following:
Courier, door to door, via Courier Guy or alternatively PUDO – Locker to Locker or via Postnet. This will be at the cost of BooksOnApp. This will be done within one week of confirming details.
 
12. What happens if a winner cannot be traced?
Every effort will be made to trace the winner.
Where the prize winner is not able to be located by 30th June 2025, the prize will be rescinded.
 
13. Will names of winner be published?
The name of the winner will be published on our Social Media platforms, Website and on the App itself.
 
14. Can I see the luck draw rules?
Yes, the rules and processes will be published on the website of BooksOnApp (www.booksonapp.com) and will remain on the website until 30th June 2025.
 
15. Is there anyone who is not entitled to be a winner?
Yes there are limitations to participation.
No person who is employed by BooksOnApp, or who is contracted to work on BooksOnApp will be entitled to enter.
In the event that such a connected person is randomly selected to receive the prize, that selection shall be declared null and void.
 
16. Can I enter more than once?
No person shall be entitled to enter more than once. 
If a winner is randomly selected to receive the prize and has entered more than once, that selection shall be declared null and void.
 
17. Who is behind the Lucky Draw and made it possible?
BooksOnApp have made this lucky draw possible.
 
18.Where does the prize for the luck draw come from?
BooksOnApp have provided the prize.
